Websites with Fairy Tales
- Storynory--classic fairy tales from Hans Christian Anderson, The Brothers Grimm, Charles Perrault, and Aesop. These are the gentler "kid friendly" versions. They also have an option to hear the story read out loud.
- Grimm's Fairy Tales--Carnegie Mellon has posted these translations of the original stories from the Grimm Brothers, so they are much more brutal. They are also a bit more difficult to read.
- More Grimm's Fairy Tales--The Gutenburg Project has put out a free e-book of Grimm's Fairy Tales. You can try this link, or go directly to their website and download the file yourself.
- American Literature--the section "Favorite Fairy Tales" contains a variety of classic fairytales and fables even if they aren't all really American in origin.
- World of Tales--This website has a variety of fairy tales from around the world.
